I knew Mr Sam for a long time we lived at Arundel which was aound several bends on the Pee Dee river from Dirleton he would enchant me with tales of Annie Oakley and others. He would call and ask me to help with his 16mm projector. He gave the Plantation to the State but never liked how they ran it. Once he rang and asked that I take him to Georgetown to visit Mrs Samworth who was then in a home. When we got to town, he said lets go to the hardware instead!! It is said that he shot the motor of poachers across the river. My father and he made a lot of 16 mm films of duck hunting and interview but i have no idea what happened to the film.
I didn't know him when he was this age, but he still wore his boots.
